After 45,000 nautical miles, across the four oceans, through six continents and twelve landmark host cities, the Dongfeng team won the 2017-18 Volvo Ocean Race championship. The 11th stage of the tournament kicked off in Gothenburg, Sweden, and ended in Hague, the Netherlands, with a total length of 700 nautical miles. It is the shortest ending in the history of this major event. The Dongfeng team sailed through the 3 day, 3 hours, 22 minutes and 32 seconds, and took the lead to cross the finish line.
